Fair Markets level the playing fields

Fair Markets to level the Playing field
We need fair markets. Free markets work in theory but we have unbalanced marketplaces where winners have a decided advantage due to the influence of special interests or special deals. It is time to revisit our markets to see if they are truly fair.

Fair markets will operate with less corporate welfare built into them, resulting in more competition, more innovation, more balance, more opportunity, and economic freedom. The time has come to end indirect subsidies with government giveaways. It is time to end the sweetheart contracts that benefit single companies at the expense of the American taxpayer.

Phony markets controlled by a few big players drive up our costs. Corporate tax loopholes lead to corporate tax avoidance shifting the burden to taxpayers. Barriers to work disrupt labor markets and corrupt markets siphon money into the pockets of white collar criminals. These things must end. We have the tools to encourage commerce. Let's use them wisely.

Industrial Policies
America's industrial policy and the impact of globalization has encouraged jobs and capital (money) flows to other countries due to inequities in labor rates and environmental rules. America needs to level the playing field and allow the most productive workers in the world to fairly compete.

Instead of America being the importer of last resort for the rest of the world, we should be able to export more of our goods and services. In doing so we bring more jobs home and improve our economic opportunity and security across the board.

Given the proper incentives, our industry and innovation will put America to work again. China's entry into the World Trade Organization in 2001, the implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1993 and the undervaluation of the Chinese currency have arguably been good for American consumers but bad for American jobs.

We must encourage better environmental protections in the rest of the world along with better wages, working conditions, and the end of currency manipulation overseas.
